SOMETHING IS RADICALLY WRONG

The title of this little piece is stolen from the first chapter of Brennan Manning's book, The Ragamuffin Gos pel because it fits perfectly this situation. Something is radically wrong. I don't think we should go on pretending that this is the way it should be because this is the way it always has been. That, my friends, is wrong. Why? Allow me to start from the beginning

I work at the Huddle House. Not an amazing job or one to impress a date, but it does have an advantage: I do get paid. I say "an advantage." It does others, besides a paycheck. It also offers me the opportunity to see people. Lots of people. Sometimes too many people. I digress.
